I've heard of some pretty far out workouts in my time: The trucker workout, the stiletto workout, the Fifty Shades of Grey workout, and then there are all of those intense obstacle course races like Reebok's Spartan Race and the Mudderella that get participants all sorts of messy over a series of obstacles. But Bold & Naked may just take the cake. One New York City yoga studio has taken the whole concept of Zen to a whole other level with their Bold & Naked classes, which encourage students to strip down for a naked vinyasa class.

For $25, students in their birthday suits can opt for a co-ed class or for one with other attendees of only their gender. Worried about the kind of people that would sign up for the class? Don't be, the studio has a zero tolerance policy for anyone with poor motives. Their website says anyone looking for a peep show "shouldn't waste their time":

"Don't waste your time. The energy in the room is very clear and members who come to Bold & Naked are very focused on celebrating their bodies through yoga. We have no problem asking someone to leave if his or her behavior is inappropriate."

With the way of pop culture and the media today, in a society where insecurities are everywhere, it impresses me that there's enough of a demand for this type of yoga practice. According to Bold & Naked, the purpose of this stripped down class is to become "comfortable in your own skin" and embrace the confidence that comes with that sense of freedom. Maybe this whole nudity thing really could help with that? Maybe I'm just sippin' the Kool-Aid.

Would I personally run to a naked workout class? Yeah, not so much -- although I don't doubt that I'd feel pretty free after overcoming the "holy crap I'm naked in public" feeling. Would you? Tweet at us @fitbie and let us know!
